MANAJEMEN PRODUKSI PADA PROGRAM WARTA ANAK DI TVRI SUMATERA UTARA TAHUN 2025

Abstrak

This study aims to determine the production process management of the Warta Anak program

at LPP TVRI North Sumatra in 2025, including pre-production, production, and post-

production stages, as well as analyzing organizational communication patterns and

gatekeeping mechanisms in filtering news broadcast to children's audiences. This study uses

a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out

through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of the production team

consisting of producers, editors, reporters, and 2 parents who are familiar with the program.

Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and

drawing conclusions using triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The results of the

study indicate that the production process of the Warta Anak program runs through three main

stages, namely pre-production which includes topic selection and script preparation, the

production stage which involves the tapping and dubbing process by children's announcers,

and the post-production stage which is the editing process until it is ready to broadcast. In

this process, the producer has an important role as a communication coordination center as

well as a gatekeeper in determining the suitability of news to be broadcast. The organizational

communication patterns that occur include vertical, horizontal, and digital communication

that facilitates coordination of the production team. However, this study found several

obstacles, such as limited schedules for children's broadcasters and the absence of regular

briefings and evaluations in program production management.
